Light and elegant, stately yet urban, RND's reimagining of the lounge of Hotel Eventi, a Kimpton branded Hotel in New York's Fashion District, used a natural green palette to open the interior to the leafy tones of the adjoining covered patio. The flow of linen curtains from Parisian fine fabric maison, Nobilis, accent the space with an airy feel while the striped directional carpeting offers guests a sense of calm orderliness. In the bar, the matching sheen of metal and wood refers to the lounge's complementing pieces of vintage and modern furniture, each quietly offset by a series of custom designed partitions that allow the space a modular flexibility to alternately meet the needs of events and functions and everyday relaxation.
Tying together all the elements is a unique arrangement of metal planters bursting with live, green foliage in the elevator lobby and interior dining room that bring a sense of organic openness into the space as the sweeping views of Manhattan lend a balancing, urban inflection throughout.
